Kanye West - Love Lockdown

The VMA's were the other night. Kanye finished the show with a new song, at first I was like yawn this is slow. Then I remembered his grammy performance where he sang for his mother. I loved that performance. So his new song "Love Lockdown" started off slow and then comes in with a catchy drumline and piano, and on stage he had crazy amount of drummers sort of looked like the Beijing opening ceremony (which was amazing). I wasn't super impressed with this new song until... the song stopped playing and I was still singing it. Unreal, within 3 minutes Kanye West planted the "catchy fucking song" seed in my brain. I am currently listening to it streamed on his website and reminds me a lot of older R&B songs, like a 70's type genre. I saw Kanye live in Camden, NY on the Glow In The Dark tour with Rihanna, Lupe Fiasco, and NERD. The show was by far the best set up concert I have ever been to. Visually stunning, dance party. Much respect for him as long as he keeps making music that makes me happy. If he wants to smash cameras and whine when he doesn't win awards let him, I bet he makes better music because of it.
